Shall we change our nights?

That’s the beer for a toast speech to happy memories,
There go our palms swaying like a feather,
Our laughs wishing this night remains forever,
And our bodies grooving with the song of midnight.
That’s the vodka that binds us together,
And I am thankful for magic of liquor and spirits
That at least those fuel me to be with the stranger.
Cheers to the stranger I meet during my drunk episodes
You are the toast – the game master and the game changer.
You are the tears of my grief and melancholies,
You are the beers I crave and drink when I’m lonely.
You are story I keep on telling during my tipsy nights,
You are the wine – shall you be with me on every rite?
You are the song – be that slow or hyped, I will always dance into.
You are the rum that keeps my mundane self, alive.
I am grateful for the fairylike times with whiskeys and you,
Yet also you are the stranger that leaves me when I’m sober.
I just wish things do not reset on the crack of dawn
Or the sweets and laughs do not fade as the spirit does.
I hope we can be together without vodkas and beers
Or I wish still we can have this with coffees and teas,
Day after day – even without the spirits and sweets.
Please do not be the stranger that fades in the sunlight
For even though I want you when I’m drunk,
Still I want and need you the most when I’m not.
